Arts and Media

This ministry exists to respond to the gospel in creative, outside-the-box, innovative ways. Whether it's with paint, pencil, canvas, camera, film, writing, design or creative thinking, we want to encourage our community to use our God-given talents to serve the city, build relationships, and spread the beauty of Christ through the arts. Children's Ministry

The Children's Ministry meets every Sunday morning prior to service for Bible study with the kids at City Light. We believe in laying a foundation of prayer, Bible reading, and a relationship with God that will be nurtured in our church community. Church Life

This committee plans different events to encourage interaction within the body of Christ. We coordinate events like bonfires, picnics, hikes, and other social/cultural events to promote fellowship at City Light. Finance Committee

The members of the finance committee are in charge of accounting for the weekly activities of our church, which include counting/documenting/depositing offering, reimbursing church members for approved expenses, paying bills/employees of the church, etc. The members also present the church budget and give a report of the financial status of the church at our congregational meetings. Welcoming Committee

The purpose and goal of the World Ministry is to raise awareness about the local and global issues taking place around the world and, in so doing, promote compassionate acts of service. From giving financially to various non-profits and mission organizations to tutoring homeless kids on Skid Row, there are many opportunities for service. We are also involved in coordinating summer mission teams to Africa and Asia. Please contact Nina Kang for more information (nina@citylightchurch.org).

World Ministry

While everyone at City Light is part of the Welcoming Committee, we also have a formal committee that welcomes new visitors to our ministry. This committee connects new visitors to City Light by giving them information about all the happenings in our ministry, organize welcoming dinners, and plug people into our community groups.
