We’ll be clearing out the plaza right after service to make room for tables. Keep an ear out for Joe Moon who will be directing traffic for lunch. We also have a Photo Booth at the entrance for anyone who wants to take pictures. Finally the children will have their own Easter activities on the stage during lunch. We hope it will be an amazing afternoon for everyone.

Volunteer Event
We’re really grateful to be partners with the Terasaki Budokan which is part of a non-profit called the Little Tokyo Service Center. They periodically have a need for volunteers to help them lay down and collect the large mats that protect the basketball courts. Our church has committed to helping them for an event on Friday February 9th from 10pm to Midnight. If you can help out please sign up at the Welcoming Table. This would be a great blessing to our friends here at the Budokan.

Congregational Meeting
We are nearing the end of a process of nominating, training and electing new officers to our church. In order to proceed, our Book of Church Order states that we need a petition signed by 1/4 of our congregation members to call a congregational meeting in order to vote on officers that have been approved as candidates by our session. If you are a member, and desire to have this congregational meeting, please sign the petition on the welcoming table that will be overseen by John Cheng. We hope to release the names of the officers who are approved by the session shortly. Please pray for this entire process!
Service Time Change
Just a reminder that we’ve changed our service time from 10:30am to 10am. Moving the service time allows us be in cooler weather during the summer. It also allows us to linger longer after the service. Please spread the word for those who may not have heard.
URM Volunteer Event
We will be heading to the URM warehouses in Downtown LA from 9am to noon to help sort their many donations for their thrift stores. This is a tangible way to help serve the homeless community and support an existing ministry doing great work. Union Rescue Mission is the largest homeless service provider in Los Angeles and their thrift stores help support their mission for a more humane and just world. You can sign up at the Welcoming Table or on our website.
